The GPS Managed Asset Program

The Cornerstone GPS System is a tactical asset allocation program which seeks to capitalize on current market conditions based upon repeatable cycles in the financial markets.  The System allows us to take the emotion out of our investment recommendations by engaging in a process based upon years of investment experience.
 
We realize there are appropriate levels of risk within a portfolio based upon the following factors: Risk Tolerance, Investment Goals, Investment Timeframe, Need for Liquidity and Age.
 
Our GPS System takes all of these factors into account and adds two elements which are essential for investment success, The Market Cycle and the Markets Condition.
 
At times where as Warren Buffet stated, “You find a trend and throw yourself in front of it.” These “up trends” are where our “Grow” recommendations would be most prevelent and the portfolio would be adjusted for the appropriate level of equity risk based upon the above factors. 
 
The “Protect” portion of our strategy may incorporate moving into “Cash” type assets, bonds, alternative investments or hedges designed to protect your wealth.   The “Sustain” mode equates to a caution sign. The appropriate levels of risk are paired back but not completely eliminated. While in these holding patterns we are either awaiting the next opportunity to enter a Grow phase or confirmation of the need to Protect.

Of course no strategy can be successful under all circumstances and investments in equities and bonds do have risks including the possible loss of principal.
